Procurement Manager for Unicon Denmark

We are seeking a dedicated and analytical Procurement Manager to join the management teams at Unicon and Kudsk & Dahl, driving our procurement activities to the next level. Across both companies, we are a team of 400 motivated colleagues working every day to ensure the efficient and professional delivery of ready-mixed concrete from our 32 plants.
Creating our next level Procurement Set up
As Procurement Manager you will manage and innovate our procurement activities and optimize our supplier relationships together with your great procurement team. You will play an important part in advancing and further developing Unicon's direct and indirect procurement. You will be responsible for a procurement team that you will motivate, develop, and lead towards common goals.
You will become part of Unicon's management team as well as part of our regional Procurement & Supply Chain Management team, which services the entire value chain in Unicon as well as the Nordic & Baltic Region, which, in addition to Unicon Denmark, consists of Unicon Norway and Aalborg Portland.
Your primary workplace will be at Unicon's head office in Vejle. Unicon in Denmark and Norway, as well as Aalborg Portland, are owned by the Italian Cementir Group, and through your work, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with and visit other business units in both the Nordic & Baltic Region and the Cementir Group.
As Procurement Manager at Unicon, you will be responsible for driving procurement activities as well as ensuring that governance and compliance processes are adhered to in line with both internal and external regulations. You will work closely with both local and international teams to ensure that all procurement procedures follow group guidelines and relevant legislation. It is therefore essential that you have experience with or are eager to gain a deep understanding of governance structures and complex workflows, ensuring they are implemented and followed throughout the organization.

Key responsibilities:
- Leadership and development of the procurement team in Unicon
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies to ensure sustainable procurement, cost-effectiveness and efficient supply chain management
- Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and establishing long-term partnerships
- Conducting market analysis and staying updated on industry trends, pricing, and availability of materials
- Collaborating with various departments to forecast material requirements and initiate procurement orders
- Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement activities
- Implementing best practices and process improvements to streamline procurement procedures
- Participation in Group Procurement Projects

We highly value if you bring following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in procurement management, including global procurement and negotiation
- Great negation and contract management skills
- Understanding of Danish legal and contractual rules
- Ability to develop and implement efficient processes and methods
- Competencies in digital tools such as Excel, PowerBI, and SAP BW
- Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
- Experience with international negotiation and procurement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
- Fluency in English is a prerequisite both in written and verbal form and fluent Danish skills are a plus
